Sunday, June 14th is planting day at the Riverdale Community Garden, St. Peter’s United Church, 203 York Street.
Members of the Kingsmount Bell Park Community Action Network are invited to join the St. Peter’s community of faith as we prepare for another gardening season.
This is a big day at our church – we will be celebrating our children’s program, planting the garden and enjoying our annual picnic.
You are welcome to join us for any or all of these events.
10:30 to 11:40 (approximately): A worship service that will celebrate the children’s program and include a blessing of the garden. Our services are quite informal – come as you are – all are welcome.
11:45 to 12:15 (approximately): Picnic lunch in the lower hall. Lunch is potluck finger food, but the church will provide hot and cold drinks and ice cream sundaes for dessert.
We will start planting the garden at about 12:15.

Produce from our garden is donated to the Food Bank and to Safe Harbour House – we also bake and sell items to support these organizations.
