Thank you!

 Over 25 people of all ages came out to help plant the Riverdale Community Garden on June 1st. It was a collaborative effort of volunteers from the Kingsmount/Bell Park Community Action Network, the Cubs/Guides, Spirit Quest, the neighbourhood and St Peter’s members. 

Over 200 seedlings and more than twenty varieties of vegetables were planted in five beds. 

Special thanks to Holla’s Nursery for their generous donation of seedlings, Mike Penwarden for his generous offer of dozens of heritage tomatoes, for the scouts, cubs and Spirit Quest members who started and nurtured dozens of plants in their homes.
