July Heritage Walk

Join us in our continuing series of Kingsmount-Bell Park Heritage walks as we remember the people, places and events that helped define our neighbourhoods.

This month we will walk through the story of the Sisters of St. Joseph and their Sudbury General Hospital, Mayor William Beaton’s neighbourhood, and “Count” Romanet du Caillaud’s plans for the area. Who were Doctor Cheadle, Viscount Milton and Vice Admiral De Cuverville anyway?

When: Sunday, July 21
Meet: Bell Park parking lot (across from Boland at Paris, beside the former St Joseph’s Hospital)
Time: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm Please arrive a few minutes early.
Distance: 2-3 km 

Terrain: Urban sidewalks and some stairs
Dress: Dress for the weather and walking conditions
