Greenspace Walk and Talk

Our Saturday morning walk in the green space attracted neighbours from from all parts of the CAN including Riverside, Roxborough, Wembley, Wellington Heights, McNaughton Terrace, Edmund, Lancaster and Winchester.

Less than 50 years ago, our green space walk would have resembled a lunar space walk. (Aerial view 1980s)

With views of the Big Nickel and Super Stack, few spaces can illustrate the story of Sudbury’s regreening journey better, although they, too, are becoming increasingly hidden by new growth.

Thank you, Janet, for bringing the bag and picking up garbage. Warren, thanks for sharing your livinghistory.ca project. I checked it out. It’s worth a view. Carolyn, thanks for the update on the St. Peter’s United Church community garden project. We look forward to doing whatever the CAN can to help out.
